September 2007 — "My husband and I went in for a hot stone massage as I had recently had one at a spa in Banff. Wanting him to experience one, because the one I had previously was amazing, I booked us in at Swirl Spa and we headed off looking forward to a serious massage as we both sit in front of computers all day. Once you arrive you get to mix your own massage oil out of essential oils, which is neat, and after this we were matched up with a masseuse and off we went. Well...this was not really a massage, it was lying on hot rocks for an hour. My masseuse was nice but weighed about 75 pounds soaking wet and so my "massage" was...well..pretty weak. Hard to say what the other massages offered are like but the hot stone is a definite "don't". Another thing to remember is not all of the masseuses here are RMTs (registered massage therapist) so if you are going to claim this with an insurance company make sure to let Swirl Spa know ahead of time so you can make sure you get a properly registered masseuse. "
