July 2009 — "We were in Jasper on the weekend of July 25 to attend a family wedding. My husband and I had gone downtown for a late brunch and on returning to our hotel, The Lobstick, I realized that I had left my purse under the bench at the local bakery. I had both sets of keys for our vehicle , cash plus all my ID in my purse. It was also 1 1/2 hrs before the wedding at the Maligne canyon. I did not expect to get my purse back but it had been turned to the bakery with everything in it. The WONDERFUL staff at the bakery told me that someone had said that it had been left there and the staff took it inside and put it in a safe place. One of the staff had assisted me in obtaining the name of the local taxi so that I could return to the hotel and get ready for the wedding. The taxi was there in no time at all and on telling him my dilema he said that he had left his wallet at a local pub one evening and it was sent back to him via mail intact and even his 100 bill in it!! A special "Thank you" also to the staff at the Lobstick for having our room ready earlier that the "check in" time as required so that we could get ready for the wedding. A HUGE BOUQUET AND THANK YOU TO ALL PERSONS who helped me get through this VERY STRESSFUL situation. As a tourist community you can not believe how much ALL support meant. Keep up the great hospitality!"
