October 2010 — "I just had to pass along my recommendations to everyone who has had as much trouble finding a good hairdresser as I have... Lab salon is a wonderful little salon that is nestled amongst all of the fantastic boutiques on Lower Johnson. I've found the people to be incredibly friendly and warm which makes the whole place feel less pretentious than other salons I've been to. Add the top notch coffee and a super cute bulldog to cuddle up with while i waited and I was hooked before anyone made the first snip. It was the first time I had seen her but my friends have all praised her skills (her nickname is the Hair Whisperer). She was super friendly and clearly knew what she was doing with my longinsh locks. It was refreshing to have a stylist actually listen to me and not leave me in tears the next day. Long story short, I love my new do, and I can't wait to go back to Lab."

"Best Haircut Ever!"

October 2010 — "I recently lost my regular stylist to an unplanned pregnancy (I'm sure she planned it, but she failed to consult me about it). I was left with that feeling of dread that you get when you find out that your favourite shade of lipstick has been discontinued or when your favoruite soap opera character finds out they are terminally ill and going to be written off the show... you know the feeling. Losing a hair dresser is like cutting of an arm (the one that you use to blowdry), but out of my panic came unbelievable good fortune... for my hair and I have found a soul mate. I had been hearing more and more good things about this salon called Lab, so I thought I would give it a shot at the title. I managed to get an appointment but I have been told that this is just as likely as winning the lottery as he doesn't take new clients and only took me as a favour to my friend who recommended me. Apparently she thinks he's a pretty big deal and even though I usually don't much care for that type of thing I was blown away. His advice was dead on, he was humble and charming, and I love my hair like I never knew was possible. He even taught me how to get my bangs to sweep across instead of just turning into a hook on the side of my forehead. I have drank the kool-aid so to speak and if he can keep this up I am his client for life. The rest of the shop was full of friendly clients and staff and I must say that I really like the feel in there. Do yourself a favour...GO TO LAB!"

Description

Anyone lucky enough to hand their disheveled locks over to these talented, creative, and friendly folks are sure to be impressed. People love the relaxed atmosphere in this beautiful modern salon located in the boutique district of Lower Johnson Street. They are also the only salon in Victoria that offers online booking!
